If you place a mattress order in Melbourne before 2pm, we will strive to have it delivered the very next day. That may not always be the case, however, since we must prioritise the safety of our team and work through the logistical delays caused by the pandemic. Nevertheless, as soon as your order is placed, our team immediately gets to work processing, loading and delivering your mattress.
If you live outside of Melbourne, not to worry. We work with reliable and speedy couriers to deliver anywhere in Victoria. Most locations outside of Melbourne can expect their hybrid mattress in 3-7 business days. Delivery to more remote locations may take up to 14 days. But no matter where you need your mattress delivered, we’ll deliver it for free. If you’ve ordered accessories such as the pillow and sheet protectors or the pro base, or even the dog bed, then we may have to ship them separately from your new mattress.
Your mattress will arrive compressed, vacuum sealed, sealed again in a tough plastic sleeve and finally packed into a heavy duty box. If that sounds like a lot to handle, rest assured that the mattress box comes equipped with wheels and a handle for easy manoeuvrability. How will my mattress be delivered?
IMPORTANT DELIVERY INFORMATION
Delivery is to your front door, our deliverers do not authorise their staff to enter your premises and cannot take your product upstairs due to OH&S rules.
Due to peak season and high demand for online goods, we are experiencing longer than usual shipping delays across our delivery network. Our team are doing their best to work with all our delivery partners to get your order to you as quick as possible.
Important Christmas Period Information
Our warehouse will be closed from 20th December 2024 and will reopen on 2nd January 2025.
Cut-off for Deliveries:
The cut-off for deliveries to metro areas scheduled for 2nd January 2025 is 2pm on the 19th December 2024.
Orders Placed After the Cut-off:
All deliveries placed between 2pm, 19th December 2024, and 2nd January 2025 for metro areas will be delivered on 3rd January 2025, subject to stock availability.

In Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane and Gold Coast we can offer next day delivery for mattress orders placed before 2pm. Take note: we’re not talking about ‘ship next day’ – we look to deliver next day! (Excluding weekends and public holidays). Most other locations will be delivered within 3 - 7 business days, while the most remote areas may take up to 14 business days. Please see below for current applicable delivery lead times. All Christmas period delivery information can be found above in the IMPORTANT DELIVERY INFORMATION section.
Also, please note that accessories such as the pro base, pillow, sheets, protector, and dog bed may be shipped separately and arrive later than the mattress delivery.

What impacts mattress delivery time?
Australia is a big country and doesn’t have a heavily developed regional rail network for freight, nor the large number of high population centres that Europe or the US have. Often deliveries will be shipped via regional warehouses and dispatched to the final address by a different vehicle or specialist carrier for that location (just like many airline ‘hub and spoke’ operations).
Although the majority of our deliveries are next day, in some locations the final delivery runs don’t happen every day because of the distances and sparse population, they might only be once or twice a week.
Packaged for Delivery
The compression and packaging technology we use ensures that the mattress is safely wrapped and cocooned for its often very lengthy journey.
Each mattress is vacuum sealed and rolled before being put in a tough plastic sleeve for further protection.
All this is then secured in a tough heavy duty outer carton with its own wheels and handle to help with manoeuvring.
The lengthy transport process can often be harsh on boxes but as bad as the ‘battle scars’ can sometimes seem the mattress is sheltered from all of this and ready for action after unpacking.

How do I set up my Sleep Republic mattress?
Every mattress includes a Welcome Pack with opening instructions and tools. Simply unroll your mattress and leave it to expand over the day. Within a few hours, the mattress will be ready to sleep on, and will continue expanding into its final shape over a few days.
How do I unpack my Sleep Republic mattress?
Your Welcome Pack, with opening instructions and an opening ‘tool’, is included inside the mattress box. Opening instructions are also on the Mattress Page of the website. You can remove the blue outer wrapper with a pair of scissors that have a rounded point, so they don’t puncture the inner vacuum bag or damage the mattress . The mattress can then be unrolled just like a very large newspaper. Be sure to exercise caution while unrolling as the mattress can unroll quickly if the inner vacuum bag has been punctured.
How do I care for my Sleep Republic mattress?
Your Sleep Republic mattress care instructions are simple and straightforward: we highly recommend you always use a washable mattress protector to protect you and your loved ones from allergens, like dust. Carefully wipe away any stains or marks with a damp cloth; avoid solvents and soaking, and allow the cleaned area to dry before covering it up again.
What certifications does the Sleep Republic mattress have?
Our cashmere blend fabric has been CSIRO tested in Australia and cleared of harmful chemical substances. Our gel visco memory foam has been vetted and approved by CertiPUR-US®, a US based program that certifies the foam is tested and meets their content, emissions and durability standards. Will Sleep Republic remove my old mattress?
We do not remove your old mattress. But if you need the details for recyclers in your area contact us by email and we’ll send you details.
What is the Sleep Republic warranty?
Your mattress comes with a 12 year warranty against faulty workmanship or materials. Pillows are covered by a 3 year warranty against faulty workmanship or materials, and sheets have a 12 month warranty against faulty workmanship or materials.
