The layers in a Sleep Republic mattress

Macoda and Sleep Republic both make hybrid mattresses; they both have a spring layer and also a layer of foam. However, there are some big differences between the two. For example, only the Sleep Republic mattress uses high-density pocket springs, while Macoda uses a more conventional spring mattress. Read on, and see for yourself which surface will see you sleeping comfortably.

Cashmere knitted fabric

We chose to use cashmere fabric in our Sleep Republic mattress because it’s luxurious, natural, breathable, and delightfully soft. Macoda, on the other hand, uses a bamboo-based fabric.

Dynamic edge support

There’s nothing worse than tumbling out of bed. That’s why our team has implemented dynamic edge support for the Sleep Republic mattress. Edge support surrounds the outer parts of the mattress, preventing saggy edges.

Gel memory foam for comfort

The springs in our mattress add support, but that’s only one half of the equation. The Sleep Republic mattress also has the added feature of a layer of foam. So, in addition to the stability of springs, you can expect the comfort of foam mattresses, too.

Natural and renewable latex

Australian summers are among the hottest in the world. That’s one of the reasons that our Australian-designed mattress has a layer of premium natural latex. It regulates air flow and helps the mattress to breathe.

High-density springs

The springs in a Macoda mattress are relatively conventional. A queen-size Macoda has 768 springs. The Sleep Republic mattress, however, has a high-density spring system, with 1850 individual pocket springs on a queen size.

A super breathable mattress structure

Most mattresses, like Macoda, use standard, flat panelling. At Sleep Republic, however, we use 3D spacer fabric to enhance airflow for a better sleep that isn’t so sweaty.

A soft cashmere cover

There are few surfaces in the world as soft as our cashmere knitted fabric cover. It is a natural, breathable, glorious material. Ecosa, on the other hand? They use polyester.

Excellent edge support

Our engineers have worked hard to deliver superior edge support on the Sleep Republic mattress. Strong support surrounds the mattress’s edge, preventing you from tumbling out of bed during the night.

High-density springs

A higher spring count maximises support. While an average mattress might have 800 springs in a queen size, at Sleep Republic, we have 1850 individual pocket springs.

Natural and renewable latex

Our latex layer is natural, renewable and serves a practical purpose as well. The latex on our Sleep Republic mattress regulates airflow and makes Aussie summers less sweltering.

Quality memory foam

Springs provide base support, and foam raises the comfort level. On the Sleep Republic mattress, you get both foam and springs; the best of both worlds.

Enhanced airflow

Other mattresses might make you feel hot and sweaty on summer nights. But with Sleep Republic’s 3D spacer fabric, airflow is enhanced. Eva, on the other hand, has more conventional flat panelling.

Frequently asked questions about Sleep Republic vs Macoda

If you’re in a metro area and order a Sleep Republic mattress before 2 pm AEDT, it should arrive at your home on the next business day. However, metro delivery for a Macoda mattress can take anywhere from 2-4 days in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane and will take even longer if you live elsewhere.

It is. When you buy a Sleep Republic or Macoda mattress, you’ll get free delivery. However, the time it takes for your mattress to arrive may be different.

We don’t know of any mattress in a box for sale in Australia with more springs than the Sleep Republic mattress. A queen size comparison of Macoda and Sleep Republic has a spring count of 768 to 1850. That’s more than double the springs in our mattress.
